Irrfan Khan

"Uncertainty is the only certainty in life", these were the words from Irrfan when he learnt about his traumatic health condition. He had a cancer of one of the rarest kinds. Not just the disease he went through was rare, He too was an actor with a rare magical persona which had a lot to offer to the universe of cinema. Death is the ultimate reality of life and has no soothing fascination materialistically. Although, spiritualists superfluously acclaim about alluring evidences of afterlives. No romantic inks can ever be used to theorize this ultimate and eventual fact in a glittery handwriting & on a lighter note. Death, nevertheless remains unquenchable for all.

Life is an endless journey of learning. This fact does not entail the action of holding a book throughout life, neither does it profess about a lifelong schooling. This fact remains equally relevant for even those who never learnt alphabets. A person who has lived life at length must have crossed the path of art. Be it an interest in poetry, or in cinema or in painting or so on so forth. It can be in any form of art. The only difference which separates an educated man from the one who is not is the ability to see an art as an art but not as a reason to just avoid the boredom. In order to communicate with our interest in specific art, we end up taking the sides on the grounds of our subconscious observations. Movies was such an interest for me and Irrfan Khan was such a personality. Art is indeed very fascinating which has immeasurable boundaries to discover and already an abundance of wonders to offer.

The field of cinema is enormously captivating. We are in an era where people religiously follow the actions of film-stars. The glory of cinema universe seems surreal. Where every thing is magical. The world which has superheroes like Avengers, Batman, Superman, Spider-man, Krrish, Rajnikanth etc. The world which has unimaginable scientific supremacy like of Interstellar & The Martian. The world which has brutal licentiousness like of The Godfather, Sholay, The Dark Knight, Gangs of Wasseypur, Black Friday & of many more. This 'otherworldliness' of the cinema world makes it overwhelmingly striking. While the world was engaged in a nonexistent world thereupon the arrival of Irrfan happens.

Irrfan Khan was the actor who broke all those norms to defictionalize the cinematic world. He was of course not the only man responsible for the new definition of cinema. The way he used to deliver the dialogues was as natural as the flow of the river. His deliverance of dialogue never had any fuel to be blasted by the norm of alienation but had enough fire to heat those hearts. Applauds for the dialogues should not be deposited in the name of an actor, dialogue writer is commissioned authority for that fortune. But his unpretentiously convincing voice never been kind to the dialogue writer. He adopted the soul of every single dialogue he delivered.

It would be a topic of fierce debate to decide the best film of Irrfan. He raised the standards of acting with his effortlessness. His contribution is not just confined to the Indian cinema but to that of the World. Irrfan played a noteworthy character of an inspector in an Oscar Winning movie. Usage of his expressive eyes and divine smile were his primary weapons in the battle of action.

This is not the first time when a legendary actor met with the last ultimate fate of his life. Everyone dies, so do the legends. Art is an ocean of incalculable depth, a sky of the same height and the universe of immeasurable boundaries. Having profound interest in a field would naturally lead you to admire people from the same field. Irrfan Khan was such a personality which was strongly immersed to my instincts. Through Paan Singh Tomar, I came across his acting for the very first time. His unparalleled uniqueness led me to explore his craft more. Gradually, I started following him mainly through his movies. Over admiration of a person makes you blind. Sometimes, your actions are compulsively driven by the forces of those inherent impressions of a personality. That eventually makes your brain unaided when it comes to the criticism of the same person. Arguments embodied with criticism do not develop organically.

Introduction of Irrfan Khan as an actor was not fashionable at all. He mainly worked in Hindi Film Industry (Although, his contribution in the world cinema isn't negligible at all) and crossed all titular barricades by not having six packs abs or a personality of greek god or a perfect jawline or a signature style. By observing him movies by movies, character by character, I have developed a constant image of a man with many virtues. His persona is indwelling in a part of my mind. I started fabricating him with each & every character I have watched of him. Many of his dialogues are full of life even after him and they will always be like this. His dialogues, his debates & his interviews collectively constructs a lifelong philosophy for me. This perpetual philosophy finally got concluded yesterday. When the source himself breathed his last. His unfortunate demise certainly damaged a part of me. But this is how it was destined. Don't know why but it feels like a personal loss.

Modi & Interviews: A Beautiful Love Story

Narendra Modi as the Prime Minister of India has not faced a single press-conference yet. It hardly makes an impact on his screen-time of media coverage. There's not a single day passed by in last five years when the shows were running out of Modi. India has always been an important country and still it is respected as one. But Prime Ministers weren't always this important. It's not India who got all the glory and significance in these five years but it's the Prime Minister's chair which has suddenly got the enormous importance in these five years. Glory of PM is now greater than that of India. Modi gets credit for every single achievement of India but he does not face any kind of criticism for the failures. Projection of Modi as Mr. Perfect is being done by none other than the fourth pillar of democracy: The Media. Fourth Pillar of the democracy is now extravagantly busy in building the image of PM. After being served by journalists our honorable PM has given

ESCAPISM

Undoubtedly, BJP possesses the largest number of seats in the parliament comparatively. Does it only show the kind of support BJP is having in this era? Does not it show the responsibilities and expectations of one-fifth population of the globe on Mr. Modi's shoulders? The Prime Minister of the largest democracy would certainly have the heaviest burden on his shoulders and he should behave accordingly. Rather than escaping himself through condemnations, denunciations and disagreements. Disagreements in the democracy is as obvious as death in the life.  A democracy like India which has the population over a billion, one should not get surprised on disagreements on every possible issue & policy. In a democracy it is already expected that there will be differences in opinions and interests on almost every specific issue of common interest. Indeed, this diversity is seen as its main strength and it calls for tolerance for all shades of opinion. One can not even imagine
