An Aspiring Superpower

One of the oldest civilization, world's largest democracy and also an aspiring superpower: India is going through a problematic phase of economic deceleration. India has always been a remarkable contender in global market. Of course it's not the first time India is observing something like this with her economy. India's economy has witnessed many ups and downs over the years. Despite of knowing the fact about India's economic slowdown our government is in no hurry to take some effective measures for the betterment of the economy.

Measures can only be taken after being aware of the problem & considering the same as an obstacle for your overall performances. Nevertheless, government is not even acknowledging the slowdown of the economy. Majority of the people are cheering in the name of Chandrayaan - 2 only because they're not being served with the basic information. Applauds are being deposited in the name of the Prime Minister for this excellent achievement of ISRO. Media is playing an immensely crucial role for the government. People are deprived out of basic information. Mainstream media has already lost its moral righteousness long ago. Both print and virtual media are sailing in the same boat. Neither print nor virtual media has the audacity to counter the establishment for the current economic slowdown. At least media should have known its relevance in this tough time. This unscrupulous media has been successfully manipulating the minds of people on an extensive scale.

Despite of being all aware about the fragility of the economy our news anchors do plan the war against Pakistan for the sake of Kashmiri people on a regular basis. Inefficiency of current economic policies are not the point of concern for any of these journalists but the inefficiency of Pakistani Nuclear weapon is certainly the point to put focus on. These loggerheads have a certain number of stories to play. These noisy anchors have been relentlessly propagating the noiselessness in Kashmir since the abrogation of Article 370 & 35A. Declaring people anti-nationalist, Projecting each and every policy of Modi as a historical one, Discussing Kashmir & Pakistan, Debating on Hindu-Muslim, Defaming Nehru-Gandhi family, Denouncing the drastic discomfiture of congress and Demonstrating Narendra Modi's larger than life personality. These are the stories which all of us are consuming on a daily basis. Predictability of media is enormously unparalleled these days.

Indian currency has been performing drastically poor. It's being contemplated as one of the worst performing currency in the world and probably the worst in Asia. India's economy is continuously performing poor. Certainly, these so called historical moves like demonetization and GST have punctured the wheel of the Indian economy. Some self-proclaimed economists are too busy in blaming UPA government for the slowdown of the economy and media is all busy discussing about the red-colored Saree of our Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. During the general elections of 2019, Media ridiculed Priyanka Gandhi for just being famous for the reason that she is a lookalike of her grandmother and the former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and the same media glorified the sacred vesture of the finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman for looking like "the Goddess of wealth - Laxmi."

In this era of globalization where a country like japan whose population and area are much similar than those of Maharashtra can be the third largest economy in the world. India aspires to be a superpower. A country where religion is dominating over science, technology and even on politics. A country where the mark of unemployment has just reached at the highest of last 45 years. A country where a significant number of children dies in the hospital out of oxygen facility. A country where directly or indirectly media is handled by the government solely. A country where eating a certain kind of meat can cause you death. A country where you need to prove your love and respect for your country by chanting specific slogans. A country where Gaushalas are prioritized ahead of Central Universities. A country which can easily be affected by the uncertainties of weather like floods and droughts due to inefficacy of basic infrastructure. A country who has a parliamentarian like Pragya Thakur and a country who has Narendra Modi as its Prime Minister who can tweet to a cricketer for the recovery from his hairline fracture but have no time to mention the tragedy of encephalitis in Bihar. Aspiring to be a superpower with this much of drawbacks is certainly irreconcilable.

India is the largest democracy in the world. Despite of having enormously comprehensive size and diversity. Indian voters did not give a confused mandate. A country which is full of diversity decided to go for the BJP for the second consecutive time. Voters gave the mandate categorically in the favour of the BJP. Narendra Modi is evidently the strongest democratic leader in the world. Still, the largest democracy in the world is not behaving so democratic these days. India's democracy is earned in nature. Diversity beautifies the Indian democracy. Colouring them all with the same shade wouldn't be as beautiful as the current colourful democracy. India has no lesser potential than any country in the world to stand at the top. We just need to stop the ongoing trend of follow the hollow issues.

Modi & Interviews: A Beautiful Love Story

Narendra Modi as the Prime Minister of India has not faced a single press-conference yet. It hardly makes an impact on his screen-time of media coverage. There's not a single day passed by in last five years when the shows were running out of Modi. India has always been an important country and still it is respected as one. But Prime Ministers weren't always this important. It's not India who got all the glory and significance in these five years but it's the Prime Minister's chair which has suddenly got the enormous importance in these five years. Glory of PM is now greater than that of India. Modi gets credit for every single achievement of India but he does not face any kind of criticism for the failures. Projection of Modi as Mr. Perfect is being done by none other than the fourth pillar of democracy: The Media. Fourth Pillar of the democracy is now extravagantly busy in building the image of PM. After being served by journalists our honorable PM has given

ESCAPISM

Undoubtedly, BJP possesses the largest number of seats in the parliament comparatively. Does it only show the kind of support BJP is having in this era? Does not it show the responsibilities and expectations of one-fifth population of the globe on Mr. Modi's shoulders? The Prime Minister of the largest democracy would certainly have the heaviest burden on his shoulders and he should behave accordingly. Rather than escaping himself through condemnations, denunciations and disagreements. Disagreements in the democracy is as obvious as death in the life.  A democracy like India which has the population over a billion, one should not get surprised on disagreements on every possible issue & policy. In a democracy it is already expected that there will be differences in opinions and interests on almost every specific issue of common interest. Indeed, this diversity is seen as its main strength and it calls for tolerance for all shades of opinion. One can not even imagine
