ESCAPISM

Undoubtedly, BJP possesses the largest number of seats in the parliament comparatively.
Does it only show the kind of support BJP is having in this era?
Does not it show the responsibilities and expectations of one-fifth population of the globe on Mr. Modi's shoulders?
The Prime Minister of the largest democracy would certainly have the heaviest burden on his shoulders and he should behave accordingly. Rather than escaping himself through condemnations, denunciations and disagreements. Disagreements in the democracy is as obvious as death in the life.
A democracy like India which has the population over a billion, one should not get surprised on disagreements on every possible issue & policy. In a democracy it is already expected that there will be differences in opinions and interests on almost every specific issue of common interest. Indeed, this diversity is seen as its main strength and it calls for tolerance for all shades of opinion.
One can not even imagine a democracy without the certain rights to its citizens. These rights ensure the basic liberty granted to citizens by the state. There's explicit interpretation of "fundamental rights" in the Indian Constitution. Since I've mentioned government's escapist tendency on disagreements. So, Let's take the freedom of speech and expression for consideration. Right of speech and expression is regarded as the supremely powerful tool in a democratic state. The basic motive behind granting it as fundamental right is every citizen should feel free while expressing himself/herself. It absolutely does not mean that we can not express our disappointments from the government. Ironically, the Prime Minister of the largest democracy thinks differently. He does not like to be attributed and criticized for anything; not even for those policies which his government announced and enacted overnight very confidently.
It seems like our honorable Prime Minister is extremely influenced by the former captain of Indian Cricket Team: MS Dhoni. Why am I saying so?
MS Dhoni is the man who's known for his instant and intelligent decisions which he had taken throughout his captaincy career. He's been so charismatic in the field. Obviously, we all are aware about his success.
Mr. Modi has adopted the same decision technique. Dhoni used to surprise his opponents by taking those instant decisions which can be quoted as "heart-throbbing decisions". Whereas, Mr. Modi surprises the people who elected him with majority with his decisions (Ex- Demonetization). Certainly, I would substitute the quotation. I can not use "heart-throbbing" here. Decisions made by this NDA government were absolutely "Irresponsible". The decision of demonetization was taken by the government which was very sudden. The obsession for taking the decisions overnight is damn too high. As we had also witnessed the enactment of GST in the midnight assembly of parliament. Both of the decisions failed and public denounced it largely. But, one can not express himself about it. By doing so he/she will be recognized as "anti-national". If you're condemning "Demonetization" or "GST" it means you're condemning "Surgical-Strike". ILLOGICAL, right? But that's how BJP projects its critics.
India's people are intelligent enough to differentiate between 'being revolutionary' & 'being irresponsible'.
Even if you're criticizing the executive, make sure you're not taking the name of "Mr. Modi". By doing so you'll be disrespecting the sacrosanct glory of PM's chair. If you'll recall, you'll find. Prime  Minister's chair was not as glorified and respected earlier. Memorize, how people used to make fun of Mr. Manmohan Singh by naming him "Silent Mode PM", "Silent Sikh" etc. Nobody questioned.
Let's come on MEDIA.
Mass Media is the most significant product of the "freedom of speech and expression". It is also regarded as the fourth pillar of the Indian democracy.
Shamelessly, BJP is trying to manipulate them from their basic values and principles. A media personnel should always behave like a leader of opposition. Whereas, government is forcing them to behave like their spokesperson. Ruling-party has successfully converted various media houses as their advertisement channel.
There's a lot more to be discussed about the escapist tendency of BJP from unpleasant realities.
Rest of the coverage in next blog.

Modi & Interviews: A Beautiful Love Story

Narendra Modi as the Prime Minister of India has not faced a single press-conference yet. It hardly makes an impact on his screen-time of media coverage. There's not a single day passed by in last five years when the shows were running out of Modi. India has always been an important country and still it is respected as one. But Prime Ministers weren't always this important. It's not India who got all the glory and significance in these five years but it's the Prime Minister's chair which has suddenly got the enormous importance in these five years. Glory of PM is now greater than that of India. Modi gets credit for every single achievement of India but he does not face any kind of criticism for the failures. Projection of Modi as Mr. Perfect is being done by none other than the fourth pillar of democracy: The Media. Fourth Pillar of the democracy is now extravagantly busy in building the image of PM. After being served by journalists our honorable PM has given
